Berkwood Resources MAG and TDEM surveys indicate 3 km and 1.8 km trends for Graphite near Mason's advanced property

Berkwood Resources Ltd. (TSX.V: BKR) ("Berkwood" or the "Company") is pleased to announce preliminary results of a helicopter-borne magnetic (MAG) and time-domain electromagnetic (TDEM) survey recently completed over its Lac Guéret South Graphite Property (“the Property”), in northeast Quebec.
The high-resolution geophysical survey, comprising 413 linear kilometres with a line spacing of 200 metres, was performed by Prospectair Geosurveys Inc. of Gatineau, Quebec and outlined several good conductors. The results were processed and interpreted by Dubé Geoscience of Ottawa, Ontario.

The survey successfully delineated an electromagnetic (EM) anomaly along a 1.8 kilometre trend, including a large circular conductive anomaly with a diameter of approximately 900 metres. Additional targets defined by the survey, within the Lac Guéret South Graphite Property, include a strong bedrock conductor, 3 km in length, situated at the Property’s northern border with Mason Graphite’s advanced Lac Guéret Property.

Preliminary analysis indicates that the anomalies are likely strong bedrock conductors which have electromagnetic Z component channels response consistent with a potential graphitic source. Geophysical analysis recommends the next course of action to be follow-up ground geophysics in the form of the PhiSpy ground TDEM system to better define the conductive source positions and their extents in order to guide precision prospecting, trenching and drilling in spring and summer 2015.

The newly generated exploration targets increase Berkwood’s confidence that there is significant potential to discover new mineralized zones, which could enhance the value of Berkwood’s Graphite property portfolio.

Brian Buchanan CEO & Director of Berkwood Resources stated We consider the initial results to be very encouraging, furthering our objective of discovering and defining graphite targets in the newly acquired Lac Guéret South Graphite Property, which should allow us to quickly advance exploration on the project.”

Alain Berclaz, P.Geo a consultant to the Company and a Qualified Person under the definition of Canadian National Instrument 43-101, approved the technical information in this news release.

About Berkwood Resources:

Berkwood has an option to earn a 100%-interest in the recently acquired 5,788 ha Lac Guéret South Graphite Property, located in northeastern Quebec. The Lac Guéret South Graphite Property borders the southern boundary of Mason Graphite’s Lac Guéret Project which has a NI 43-101 compliant mineral resource estimate with measured & indicated mineral resources of 50 million tonnes grading 15.6% Cgr (including 6.6 million tonnes grading 32.4% Cgr).  Berkwood also holds a 100% interest in the Lac Guéret East Graphite Property which is adjacent to the eastern boundary of Mason Graphite’s Lac Guéret Property. Berkwood’s Lac Guéret East and South Graphite Properties share a similar geological environment to Mason Graphite`s Lac Guéret Property including along strike stratigraphic units and structures.

Berkwood also holds a 100% interest in the Prospect Valley Gold Property near Merritt, BC.  Several areas of gold mineralization have been identified on the 10,871 Ha property. The majority of historic drilling has taken place in the centre of the claim block along the Discovery Trend. This drilling has outlined an extensive low grade epithermal gold system with indications of potential for additional and higher grade mineralization. The system remains open for expansion and other known zones of gold mineralization have yet to be drilled (see Berkwood news release dated January 25, 2012, for details).

Gold discovery at Prospect Valley BC spurs field work

Berkwood Announces 2014 Prospect Valley Gold Property
Field Program Plans

Berkwood Resources Ltd. (TSX-V: BKR) (the “Company” or “Berkwood”) is pleased to announce plans for summer fieldwork on the Prospect Valley Gold Property near Merritt, British Columbia, Canada.

In 2013 geochemical sampling work on the property confirmed the continuity of the main soil anomaly and extended its length to 5000 metres indicating the large extent of the mineralizing system. See the updated geochemistry map below or click here.  To date, several areas of gold mineralization have been identified on the 10,871 Ha Prospect Valley Gold Property.  The majority of historic drilling has taken place in the centre of the claim block, along the Discovery Trend.  This drilling has outlined an extensive low grade epithermal gold system with indications of potential for additional and higher grade mineralization. The system remains open for expansion and other known zones of gold mineralization have yet to be drilled (see Berkwood news release dated January 25, 2012 for details).

The focus of this year’s work will be in preparation for a drill program to test potentially higher grade gold mineralization within the core of the Discovery Trend epithermal system. Although subject to financing, current market conditions have reduced drill contract rates and as such Berkwood feels this drilling can be carried out in a low cost, effective manner. Berkwood field crews will be visiting the property in the coming days to assess the condition of access roads, field equipment, company vehicles and the field base camp.

Brian Buchanan, CEO and Director of the Company states: "We are pleased to be in a position to conduct fieldwork at Prospect Valley. This is an important project in regards to Berkwood’s growth and Management is very optimistic about what this year’s work program could provide, given the large extent of the gold system defined to date.”

George Gorzynski, P.Eng., a Director of Berkwood and a Qualified Person under the definition of Canadian National Instrument 43-101, approved the technical information in this new release and is monitoring the field programs.

About Berkwood Resources:

Berkwood also holds a 100% interest in the Lac Guéret East Graphite Property, located in northeastern Quebec.  The 3,837 Ha Lac Guéret East Graphite Property consists of 71 claims and is adjacent to the eastern boundary of Mason Graphite’s advanced Lac Guéret Project.

Berkwood Resources acquires Graphite claims directly adjacent to Mason Graphite's Lac Geuret property

Berkwood Resources Ltd. g
the Lac Guéret East Graphite Property, Quebec

Berkwood Resources Ltd. (TSX.V:BKR) (“Berkwood” or “the Company”), is pleased to announce that it has acquired, from a local prospector, additional contiguous ground immediately to the west of its Lac Guéret East Graphite Property located in northeastern Quebec. The newly acquired claims will be added to the current 63 contiguous claim (3,204 ha) Lac Guéret East Graphite Property where during the fall 2012 exploration program the first Graphite bearing zone on the Property was discovered.

The newly acquired claims comprise 7 blocks, (378 ha total) located to the west, and are contiguous with the original Lac Guéret East Graphite Property, which will now directly border Mason Graphite`s Lac Gueret Property over 7 km on its eastern side (see maps below or click here).

Brian Buchanan, President and Director of Berkwood commented: “We are pleased to have enhanced our evolving graphite exploration property east of the significant Mason Graphite discoveries. This area of Quebec is known for high purity, large flake graphite and has been identified as an ideal geological setting for graphite exploration.”

Mason Graphite’s advanced Lac Guéret Property has a NI 43-101 compliant mineral resource estimate with measured & indicated mineral resources of 50 million tonnes grading 15.6% Cgr (including 6.6 million tonnes grading 32.4% Cgr). Berkwood’s Lac Guéret East Graphite Property shares a similar geological environment as Mason Graphite’s Lac Guéret Property including along strike stratigraphic units and structures.

Mason Graphite’s recently updated NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate includes assay data from 170 holes (approximately 26,500 metres) drilled in the GC Zone. Mason reports that the mineral envelope remains open in all directions and the company expects further expansion with additional drilling. The GC Zone lies approximately 1.5 km to the west of Berkwood’s Lac Guéret East Graphite Property boundary.
